About carolyn rebuffel designs, llc

We create livable residential spaces. We do this by first understanding your personal aesthetic and then combining it with our expertise in order to craft an inspired, practical and savvy home or room that exceeds your expectations. We can help you with all of your design needs, from the small project of a bedroom makeover, to the large project of helping design your dream home. We are ingenious when designing for busy families.

We believe that we can create a place for everything and put everything in its place, creating grace, order, and balance in the process. We believe that peace starts at home, and when it adds up, peaceful change in small increments can impact all of us.  As we see it, our job is to take your ideal aesthetic (literally pulling it out of your head) and turn it into a reality beyond your happiest expectations.  We create environments where life is easier and more comfortable.

We believe that honesty is key to client collaboration; it cannot be what you think you should want, but what you really want.  We are not going to tell you what we think you want to hear, but what you really need to hear.  We will take your vision and ideas and put them into reality for you.

About Carolyn Rebuffel Flannery/principal

Carolyn spent her childhood in Santa Cruz. After college and a short detour in the hospitality industry, Carolyn opened an antiques store in San Francisco, importing and selling European furnishings from every period.  She spent 10 years assisting designers and private clients furnish homes with antiques and vintage items. She then turned her fixation on design and beauty and her love of furnishings, art and architecture into a full-time job and launched her own design firm. Carolyn Rebuffel Designs was launched in 2006, and since then, projects have taken her all over the United States. Carolyn holds an Art History degree from University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master’s of Hospitality from Cornell University and currently lives in Walnut Creek with two funny, active kids still at home and two bright and beautiful kids away at college.

Her clients describe her as:
