I love monograms. They definitely have their place in decor. Not only do they add a subtle, traditional, personal touch to your home, they can be used in fun, creative ways. And something monogrammed always makes the perfect wedding gift. Don't just limit yourself to strictly initials; I have monogrammed items with acronyms of inside jokes, have a weekend bag monogrammed BAF for back-and-forth and had my daughter's bag for swim meets monogrammed with simply "swim." Here is a compilation of some wonderful resources to get you started.
First, the monogrammed bag from Land's End is a preppy solution to bringing all that stuff on any outing. L.L. Bean also makes a great one but it is missing the handy side pocket that Land's End includes on their version. These are totally sturdy, timeless, come in fun colors and make keeping a trip organized very, very simple. I use one in lieu of a briefcase and would be lost without it.
To create truly one-of-a-kind monograms for a formal trousseau, very special wedding gifts or for yourself because you have always wanted one, use Caroline Brackenridge Monogram Inc. Once your monogram is created, it can be used for linens, bedding, stationery, and other personal, unique creations.
A less formal, very fun, monogrammed set of napkins by Emersonmade is great for setting a properly linen-ed table. Fresh, casual, super-cute!
Write a pretty letter and then emboss the envelope with your own monogram stamp from three designing women, thus sending your new fab monogram decor out into the world to share with others.
